Founding of the company
Josef Brucha (b. 1908) founds BRUCHA as an insulation manufacturer in Michelhausen, Lower Austria. In 1950, Josef BRUCHA (b. 1908), our founder, becomes the country’s first insulation technician after passing his master craftsman examination, laying the foundation for the present-day BRUCHA GesmbH. While insulation and technology may have evolved over the decades, the key craft behind them remains the same: insulation.
70 years of experience
Since the founding of the company, the products have been continuously tested and further developed. Manufacture of the first sandwich panels begins in the late 1970s. Capacity is increased. Brucha specialises inthe production and assembly of large cold and deep-freeze rooms. In 1998, the first continuous double-line production facility is put into operation.
Innovations for the future
The production facilities at the company’s site in Michelhausen are gradually expanded and export activities are increased to over 50%. In addition to the assembly support points, branches and sales offices in Europe, BRUCHA Corp. in Denver Colorado is founded in 2018. BRUCHA relies on its core competence, its decades of knowledge and experience in the production and assembly of cold rooms.

Production – Centre for stamping and bending
The new high-performance sheet metal bending centre for precision parts for doors, cold room and deep-freeze room panels enables us to produce top-quality products in series, thanks to the high level of automation. In addition to numerous special designs, this is where the made-to-measure elements are created as the basis for production of the BRUCHA EVOLUTION fast-build panel, which represents a revolution in modern cold storage construction.
Production of mineral wool panels
Fire protection and acoustic panels with a mineral wool core offering outstanding fire safety properties. Investments are also being made in ongoing product development in the mineral wool production department, for example at present in the construction of a new sticker application facility, which will result not only in an increase in the quality of the end product, but also significantly improved working conditions for production employees.
Certificates and test reports
The individual components of the BRUCHAPaneel panels and the finished end product are subject to in-house production checks and, in collaboration with independent testing bodies and international universities, to numerous tests looking at fire resistance, fire class, noise and thermal protection. ISO certification is a guarantee that the products have been produced in line with applicable quality and environmental management standards.
BRUCHAPaneel PUR/PIR receives the following certificate:
Cradle to Cradle CertifiedTM at the Bronze level. When a manufacturer is awarded the C2C quality seal, they commit to maintaining an ongoing improvement process in the following areas:
